This vintage pottery bowl is made by the Quichua Indians who live in the Amazon Rain Forest. Each fired pot is burnished with a river stone. After this process, natural colors are applied with brushes so fine that it is usually no more than a single strand of hair. Finally, a small piece of wood is heated to release the natural resin which is then applied to the painted pottery. Each bowl is unique and a true work of art.
